（中央社首爾7日綜合外電報導）韓聯社報導，南韓保健福祉部今天公布境內新增14例中東呼吸症候群（MERS）病例，其中包括1起死亡病例。截至目前確診患者增至64例，死亡病例增至5例。
根據保健福祉部，新增確診患者中10例可能透過三星首爾醫院感染，第64例患者是名75歲男子，5日死亡，7日確診感染MERS病毒。
南韓的MERS疫情震源地是平澤聖母醫院，首例MERS患者在該醫院住院期間直接造成28人感染，間接造成8人感染。
第14例患者曾接受診療的三星首爾醫院，成為第2個傳播中心，與該醫院有關的確診患者目前有17人。
另外，保健福祉部旗下的中央MERS管理對策本部昨天舉行例行記者會時表示，在南韓流行的MERS病毒與在中東流行的病毒基因序列幾乎一致，可以確定病毒並未發生變異。
